Finnish American Business Guild has started a year-long project to celebrate Finland 100 years independence in Dallas, Texas. This Finland 100 Dallas project is the proud, official partner of Finnish Government’s The Suomi 100 program.

To celebrate all the Finnish hockey players, we will have an ice hockey themed auction in the Gala. Here are just some of the items that will be auctioned on the Gala night:
1. Jere Lehtinen’s autographed Stars Jersey, 2 lower level tickets to Jere’s Retirement Ceremony Night on November 24th vs. Galgary Flames, and a chance for the winner to get a photo with Jere on his ceremony night.
2. Teemu Selänne’s autographed photo from his game as Anaheim Duck. The photo is framed and ready to join the winner’s hockey memorabilia
3. “Leijonat” hat (‘lippis’) autographed by no other than Saku Koivu, Jere Lehtinen and Ville Peltonen – the infamous Tupu, Hupu and Lupu line that took Finland to the top of the world in 1995.
Finland become an independent state on December 6th, 1917. The centenary of Finland's independence in 2017 will be the most significant commemorate year for this generation of Finns! Finland 100 program will mark Finland's independence celebrations all over the world in 2017.

In Dallas we will celebrate 100 year old Finland through various events where all Finns and friends of Finland are welcome! We are honoring the theme of Finland 100 program; TOGETHER! All events are planned and done by volunteers.
These events will culminate to a wonderful CENTENARY CELEBRATION GALA event here in Dallas, which will take place at November 11th, 2017.
Project will provide an opportunity to celebrate Finland, Finnish culture in Dallas and also provide sneak peek of what it means to be a Finnish expatriate in Texas.
